Singer Kim Jong-kook celebrated a double blessing with his marriage. His 30th-anniversary concert sold out all seats, proving his unchanged popularity.
Kim Jong-kook will hold "The Originals" at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on Oct. 18 and 19.
Tickets sold out quickly for all performances as soon as they opened for sale on the 15th, and Kim Jong-kook once again proved the popular appeal he has sustained over his 30-year career.
This performance will be a stage that comprehensively covers Kim Jong-kook's musical journey, presenting a diverse set list from Turbo-era hits to his representative solo songs.
It will also feature special stage productions and guest performances prepared to express gratitude to fans who have supported him unchanged for a long time, raising expectations.
Kim Jong-kook said, "I am who I am today thanks to the fans who have been with me for 30 years. This performance will be a festival-like stage that the fans and I create together."
The concert organizer said, "Kim Jong-kook's music and sincere stage that span generations will be an unforgettable gift to fans," and added, "We are considering additional regional performances for fans who could not get tickets due to the quick sellout," to ease disappointment.
Kim Jong-kook debuted in 1995 as part of the group Turbo and released hits such as "Black Cat Nero" and "Love Is…". He later transitioned to a solo career and scored numerous hits including "One Man," "Lovely," and "Standing Still," cementing his status as a national singer who covers both ballads and dance. He has also remained active on variety shows, maintaining lively communication with the public through a friendly charm that spans generations.
