Singer Jessi, who was embroiled in controversy for allegedly standing by during a fan assault, has returned to Korea.
On the 16th, Jessi posted on her social media, "Motivation Monday. Don't rely on luck; surpass your limits. The trap of thirst is not only on Thursday. You can attain it anytime," along with several photos.
In the released photos, Jessi is concentrating on working out at a gym. Jessi, wearing form-fitting workout clothes and focusing on her exercise, has a large tattoo on her back that draws attention. Jessi proved her healthy, toned physique.
Jessi showed off her hip line with abundant volume. Notably, the gym where Jessi was working out is located in Korea, drawing attention to the fact that she has returned to Korea. Previously, Jessi left Korea after the controversy over allegedly standing by during a fan assault, and her contract with her agency had also ended.
On Sept. 29 last year, in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, a fan who asked Jessi to take a photo was assaulted by the fan's companions, and Jessi left the scene, causing controversy. Afterwards, she was accused and sued by the victim and internet users and was questioned by police as a suspect; she claimed that the assailants were people she met for the first time that day.
The police concluded it was difficult to find Jessi guilty of hiding or helping a criminal escape and decided not to refer the case to the prosecution. The rapper Koala, who threatened and struck the fan among Jessi's group, was sent to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on assault charges, and a foreign national identified as A, who assaulted the fan with Koala and fled overseas, was placed on an INTERPOL wanted list.
After the controversy over allegedly standing by during a fan assault, Jessi ended her contract with her agency. Jessi apologized, saying she had regretted it thousands and tens of thousands of times and that she wished she could go back to that time; she added she would try to correct her wrongdoing and help the victim recover.
Meanwhile, Jessi established the independent label UNNI COMPANY (Unni Company) and began independent musical activities.
