Travel YouTuber KwakTube (real name Kwak Jun-bin·33) is set to marry in October, and his past remarks are drawing attention.
Earlier, on the 8th, KwakTube personally announced his marriage news on his YouTube channel and revealed that his fiancée is pregnant, saying, "While preparing for the wedding, thankfully a precious new life came like a blessing."
At the time he said, "She's not very talkative and is really introverted, but still she lifted me up and took care of me a lot, so after meeting again I think I talked about it in every broadcast. My goal is to get married soon; I will get married within two years; I always thought that if I ever had someone to marry I would reveal it someday, but I really wanted to tell you first," he also expressed his feelings.
His agency SM C&C also said, "Kwak Jun-bin will hold a wedding in October with a non-celebrity fiancée. After a long relationship the two built trust and love and promised to spend their lives together. While preparing for the wedding a precious life came and the joy doubled," delivering an official statement.
The surprise news drew attention, and now KwakTube's past "marriage prophecy" remark has resurfaced and become a hot topic.
In 2023, appearing on the YouTube channel "Chimchakman" live broadcast, KwakTube said when the topic of weddings came up, "I will get married in two years," a remark that raised eyebrows.
He added, "I'm 31 now, so I'll do it at 33," and said, "My life is always according to plan. Not a goal but a plan. It's confirmed. Because I always set my future plans and live by them. So I'll get married at 33, but what will the wedding be like then?"
Two years later in 2025, with KwakTube having actually married, netizens have reacted with comments such as "He's a real tough guy," "I should make a wish for two years from now too," and "So it can happen."
