Starship Entertainment's new boy group IDID took a confident first step.
IDID held a showcase for the release of their first mini album "I did it." at the YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin District, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 15th and talked about the new album.
IDID is a seven-member boy group selected and recognized for the qualities an idol should have—dance, singing, fan communication skills and expressiveness—through Starship's large-scale project "Debut's Plan," from the "house of artists" Starship.
Introduced as the younger-brother group of IVE, Jang Yong-hoon said, "We are debuting following the footsteps of the seniors we respect. From the moment I decided to become a singer, I dreamed of the stage, and I am finally debuting, so I am happy. Following our seniors, we will do our best and work hard so we can become a great boy group."
Kim Min-jae added, "This is a moment I've really longed for, and while doing the project I had the belief that we would definitely debut. We will show the fans who supported us how great IDID will be."
About the team name IDID, Park Won-bin explained, "We carry the ambition of accomplishing things. It embodies confidence and the spirit of challenge that we can see things through to the end. We have the aspiration to become a bold group that will accomplish everything from performances to connecting with fans."
