Actor Han Hyo-joo stood before the camera with a bare face.
In the Netflix Korea-Japan co-production drama "Romantic Anonymous," which will be released Oct. 16, Han Hyo-joo, who plays Lee Ha-na, a genius chocolatier with gaze phobia, graces the cover of Singles' October issue.
In the pictorial, Han Hyo-joo revealed a refreshing charm that, with her makeup-free clear face, evokes the heroine of a romance comic.
In a subsequent interview, Han Hyo-joo said that since more than 90% of the lines in this work were in Japanese, she stayed in Tokyo for about a year and shot intensely. About Oguri ??, with whom she worked, she called him a "very skilled actor" and described the on-set atmosphere as pleasant and full of tight camaraderie.
With a charm like a romance comic, "Romantic Anonymous" drew attention upon its release for its dazzling casting. Reports say the acting chemistry of top actors from both countries and Han Hyo-joo's near-native Japanese amplified the drama's entertainment. Recalling the final shoot, Han Hyo-joo raised anticipation for her new work by confessing that she filmed with the heart of a newcomer, saying most of the staff became so attached they shed tears.
Actor Han Hyo-joo marked her 20th year in acting this year. At the end of the interview, Han Hyo-joo sincerely reflected that she had been lucky to come this far and that she had worked harder with the feeling of owing the love and opportunities she had received.
