On Running Man, Haha and Kim Jong-kook showed conflict even over the settlement method amid rumors that their barbecue restaurant had closed.
On the April 14 broadcast of SBS variety show Running Man, the business partnership between Kim Jong-kook and Haha was again brought up.
That day, when Haha said about Kim Jong-kook's marriage, "An article said revenge succeeded," Kim Jong-kook replied, "I wasn't going to tell you, but I did. I waited 10 years for that," and Haha reacted with "That's really pathetic," a heartfelt response that provoked laughter.
Then Kim Jong-kook said he had something to say to Haha and told him, "Change the restaurant's settlement method." The two are co-owners of a barbecue restaurant. Kim Jong-kook said, "I put money in but you didn't even give me 10 won, that's too much," and Haha protested, "I gave you 10 won, fans will think it's real," adding, "I'll give you more if the meal kit succeeds," while a caption read "happy partners," drawing laughs.
Earlier, on a previous broadcast Haha, reacting to news of Kim Jong-kook's marriage, mentioned the barbecue restaurant the two operate together and said, "Our barbecue restaurant will do well. I'll contribute to household expenses," but Kim Jong-kook revealed, "No. Your sister-in-law hates you most," exposing that Haha was on the bride-to-be's blacklist and turning the set into a sea of laughter. It turned out there had been past rumors the barbecue restaurant had closed.
The closure rumor started last month on KBS 2TV variety show Bosses' Ears Are Donkey Ears (Sadanggwi). At the time, when Haha said, "I won't run a barbecue restaurant again. I've wrapped up two places," misunderstandings arose that even the barbecue restaurant co-owned with Kim Jong-kook had closed. Afterwards, Haha personally clarified on social media, "Our place didn't close!"
