Actor Kim Seung-woo drew attention with his first broadcast grants since the controversy over the disposal of the Han-kkihapsho footage.
On the 15th, a video titled "Seoul's three top tteokbokki | tteokbokki lover Kim Nam-ju's fangirling tour (feat. Kim Seung-woo)" was released on the YouTube channel "Kim Nam-ju."
In the released video, Kim Nam-ju visited her regular tteokbokki shop and called out Kim Seung-woo, saying "my husband is nearby." Kim Seung-woo, who appeared two minutes after hanging up the phone, said "I was a bit peckish, so this worked out," and joined her at the table.
Kim Seung-woo said, "If we include our deliveries, I've eaten here more than 100 times," and laughed, "I met a lot of people I know here, so I paid for a lot of meals."
Kim Nam-ju also showed her love of drinking, saying, "This is good as a drinking snack, but they don't sell alcohol here." The two moved to Sinsa Market and continued their mukbang by tasting another regular shop's tteokbokki. Kim Seung-woo grumbled, "I came because I was a bit peckish, and what is this," but continued the mukbang happily.
This appearance drew interest especially because it was his first official action since the recent controversy over the disposal of the Han-kkihapsho footage.
Earlier, on Sept. 3, Kim Seung-woo's agency, The Queen AMC, explained, "Mr. Kim Seung-woo welcomed the Han-kkihapsho team while he was alone at home, and he was inebriated at the time. We judged that it was inappropriate for footage showing signs of alcohol to air on national broadcast, so we asked the production team for understanding."
However, conflicting reports continued about the scene at the time. One outlet reported that Kim Seung-woo had filmed for more than three hours on the Han-kkihapsho episode with Lee Jin-wook and Jung Chae-yeon but suddenly requested that it not be aired, while the agency rebutted that "he only filmed for about 30 to 40 minutes." The production team ultimately did not offer any particular comment, leaving an unsettled aftertaste.
