Idol group SEVENTEEN member and producer Woozi (birth name Lee Ji-hoon, 28) will enlist on the 15th for active-duty service in the Army.
According to the agency Pledis Entertainment, Woozi will enter a training camp that day to receive basic military training before serving as an active-duty Army soldier.
On the day before enlistment, Woozi appeared in the stands at SEVENTEEN's world tour "NEW_" concert held at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. With his hair cut short, he cheered on his bandmates on stage and spent a final moment with fans.
After the concert, Woozi left a message on the fan communication platform Weverse, saying, "It was the first time I watched the members and Carat (the fandom) smiling at the music I made from offstage," and added, "I'm heading in with great strength. I'll complete my service in good health."
Within SEVENTEEN, Woozi is the third to begin military service. Jeonghan started alternative service in September last year, and Wonwoo also enlisted in April this year and is serving. Hoshi will follow by enlisting as an active-duty Army soldier on the 16th.
