"MZ wannabe icon" IVE (IVE: Ahn Yujin·Gaeul·Rei·Jang Wonyoung·Liz·Leeseo) will appear at the Rock in Japan Festival 2025 (ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025).
According to agency Starship Entertainment, IVE departed for Japan on the 14th to attend the Rock in Japan Festival 2025 held today (15th) at Soga Sports Park in Chiba City, Japan.
The Rock in Japan Festival launched in 2000 and marks its 26th year this year as a major Japanese music festival, counted among Japan's representative music festivals along with Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock Festival. With the festival continuing from the 13th to the 15th and again from the 20th to the 21st, IVE will take the Lotus Stage (LOTUS STAGE) today, the third day, and captivate the local audience.
Last year IVE drew attention at global music festivals such as Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic 2024 with live shows and passionate performances that seemed like they swallowed a CD. Receiving intense coverage from foreign media and rising as a reliable new K-festival performance powerhouse, IVE consecutively performed at Lollapalooza Berlin and Lollapalooza Paris in July, overwhelming the venues with more relaxed stage manner and charisma.
Here, by announcing its appearance at the Rock in Japan Festival 2025, IVE is continuing another extraordinary move. Invited repeatedly to the world's leading festivals and demonstrating its current overwhelming status as a "global festival powerhouse," the group is expected to once again assert an overwhelming presence on the world stage.
IVE officially debuted in Japan in 2022 with "ELEVEN -Japanese ver.-" Through various activities, IVE built a solid local fandom and in April felt the hot popularity while interacting with about 100,000 fans during the Japan fan-con tour "IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN" ("IVE SCOUT' IN JAPAN").
Also, in July they released their third Japanese album Be Alright, sweeping major local album charts including Oricon, Billboard Japan and Tower Records, and last month they released their fourth Korean mini album IVE SECRET and the title track XOXZ, achieving strong results on various charts and showcasing an overwhelming presence.
