The group ATEEZ warmed up for their Japan comeback with a cinematic teaser.
KQ Entertainment released a music video teaser for ATEEZ's Japanese full-length second album "Ashes to Light" title track "Ash" on its official YouTube channel at 12 a.m. on the 15th.
The released video began with Yunho in darkness gasping for breath, drawing attention. Then scenes of members wandering in search of the album title "new hope from hardship" appeared in sequence, creating a suffocating tension.
The members approached as if surrounding Yunho lying on the sand, and the video ended with Yunho escaping from an overturned car along with the lyrics "I'm dancing in the Ash," leaving a strong aftertaste.
The teaser, with a mystical and dreamy mood like watching a fantasy film, combined ATEEZ's striking visuals and stylish direction, raising expectations for the upcoming album to a peak.
Ashes to Light is ATEEZ's Japanese full-length album released about four years and six months after their first full-length Japanese album Into the A to Z, which they released in 2021.
Ashes to Light will include a total of nine tracks: five new songs including the title track "Ash," "12 Midnight," "Tippy Toes," "FACE," and "Crescendo," plus four previously released songs "NOT OKAY," "Days," "Birthday," and "Forevermore."
Through an earlier preview video, portions of the audio for all tracks on Ashes to Light were unveiled. The feast of excellent songs showcasing ATEEZ's unique timbres and vocal ability sparked an explosive reaction from global fans.
ATEEZ opened the curtain on their 2025 Japan tour In Your Fantasy on the 13th, and after finishing the Saitama performance through that day, they will hold a comeback showcase with local fans on the release day of Ashes to Light on the 17th. They will then continue the momentum with performances in Nagoya on the 20th and 21st and in Kobe on Oct. 22 and 23.
