Comedian Shin Ki-ru made a strong impression on Baebulli Hills with witty remarks and an appetite-stimulating mukbang.
Shin Ki-ru left a strong impression as soon as she appeared on episode 5 of Disney+'s new-concept high-calorie variety show Baebulli Hills, which was released on the 14th. While heading to the filming location with the members, Shin Ki-ru exclaimed "Oh my, oh my, my umbrella" when she saw a giant parasol and, seeing the restaurant's food models, said "It seems people on Earth don't take these out to eat," eliciting consecutive laughs.
Meanwhile, Shin Ki-ru showed outstanding skill even during practice in the egg-cracking game that offered "unlimited sushi," raising expectations. Unlike in practice, she managed to win only "three plates of sushi" in the main game. Still, her delight over three plates of sushi was heartwarming.
Blindfolded, Shin Ki-ru also won a "random rail ticket" that allowed her to choose sushi and picked wasabi, which made her furious. It was a prank in which Pungja tempted her into choosing wasabi. When she took off the blindfold and checked the result, Shin Ki-ru, saying "My stomach will melt. My stomach will melt," gave up in a way that made everyone burst into laughter.
The continued misfortunes of Shin Ki-ru added to the interest. After choosing wasabi, Shin Ki-ru, because of Pungja's interference, lost the sushi she had longed for and could not hide her embarrassment. After twists and turns, Shin Ki-ru finally ate the sushi she wanted, and her flavorful mukbang stimulated viewers' appetites.
Also, Shin Ki-ru tried to wink to get sushi donated from Seo Jang-hoon, who had unlimited sushi, but the sushi ultimately went to Na Sun-wook. At one point Shin Ki-ru shouted "Yamma" at Seo Jang-hoon and then provoked laughter with a confident line, "If I acted cute, I could get it all in the past." Later, Shin Ki-ru secretly ate Seo Jang-hoon's sushi and was immediately caught; she denied it but, faced with his detailed account, displayed a manic chemistry by saying, "Grandpa, your memory is good, isn't it?"
Meanwhile, Shin Ki-ru's perfect-score performance can be seen on Baebulli Hills, which is released every Sunday at 8 a.m. on Disney+.
