'Sallim-nam 2' Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo's fiancée Lee Ah-mi experienced discomfort from the first day she came to Korea.
On the 13th episode of KBS2TV variety show 'Sallim-nam 2', Shinhwa's Lee Min-woo brought his fiancée Lee Ah-mi and her daughter Mi-jjang to his parents' home. Lee Min-woo, who has lived with his parents since before, formally introduced her to his parents and naturally combined households. Even though his fiancée Lee Ah-mi had to immediately move into her in-laws' house upon entering Korea, she appeared with a bright smile.
Lee Ah-mi's daughter Mi-jjang cheerfully greeted and clung to Lee Min-woo's parents, whom she met for the first time. She looked like a biological granddaughter. Soon the child grew comfortable and played alone on the living room floor as if at ease.
Lee Ah-mi tried to help Lee Min-woo's parents set the table. But Lee Min-woo's mother prevented the seven-month pregnant Lee Ah-mi, who was nearly full term, from moving at all and sternly scolded Lee Min-woo to set the table himself.
Lee Ah-mi said, "In Japan we make smaller portions, so I'm really grateful that you prepared so much in this hot weather," and could not hide her surprise at the feast on the table. Baek Ji-young said, "Maybe because a child and a new family member came, the atmosphere became warm," and expressed delight.
Lee Min-woo's father recommended spicy stir-fry and seasoned crab to Lee Ah-mi. The fiancée said, "Lee Min-woo's parents made a lot of delicious food, but there were many spicy dishes so it was a bit difficult," showing clear embarrassment because she was used to a Japanese palate that does not enjoy spicy food.
In the end, Lee Ah-mi could not touch the seasoned raw crab and said, "Because I'm pregnant, I should be careful with raw food," then carefully ate and finished her rice without leaving anything. Park Seo-jin speculated, "She probably ate quickly because if rice was left, they'd keep offering side dishes," and Lee Min-woo's mother looked at Lee Ah-mi with constant concern.
Soon Lee Min-woo's mother scolded her husband and son and made them clean up. Lee Ah-mi became even more anxious. Lee Min-woo's mother comforted her daughter-in-law, saying, "It must be hard, thank you for coming. Does the baby kick?" Lee Min-woo's fiancée said, "I've been feeling the kicks since earlier. There is fetal movement," and led her mother-in-law's hand to place it on her belly.
Although Lee Min-woo's wife and stepdaughter came to Korea, his room and the room he used as a music studio were completely untidy, shocking everyone. Lee Min-woo's mother shouted, "How uncomfortable will it be? The dining table is too small so I couldn't even place a side dish of seasoned vegetables. Ah-mi-jjang and Mi-jjang will both be really uncomfortable. Don't you know that?" and yelled, "Starting tomorrow buy a drying rack immediately."
Lee Min-woo went to the market with his wife. Their modest date lasted only a short while, and the fiancée drew attention by asking not to be excluded from household chores, saying, "For childbirth it might actually be good to move my body. Please tell your mother this well."
