Singer Lee Seung-hwan denied retirement rumors.
On the 14th, Lee Seung-hwan posted on his social media a screenshot of an article saying he had announced his retirement along with the comment "If you saw my tour performance HEAVEN, you would know what that line meant," he wrote.
He explained, "I was saying that I, who handled everything from A to Z of the performance and used to create three or four shows a year, will not be producing shows for the time being. It's the opening line of the HEAVEN performance. Since last November," he clarified.
He added, "The tour ends this coming November," and "I'll rest a bit, too."
Earlier, on the 13th, Lee Seung-hwan posted on his social media, "After finishing a performance and returning home, I prepare another performance. I have lived like this for 35 years. I will live like this only until November," he wrote.
On the 1st he had also declared the end of band activities, saying, "I will be active as 'Lee Seung-hwan Band' only until November. It was a long-considered decision," which led to speculation that he might be hinting at retirement, but Lee Seung-hwan's clarification showed he is not retiring from singing.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung-hwan debuted in 1989 with his first album B.C 603 and has performed with the Lee Seung-hwan Band for 35 years, and he is currently conducting a nationwide tour concert commemorating his 35th debut anniversary.
