Actor and singer Wei Menglong (Wu Menglong), who became known to domestic viewers through the Chinese drama "Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms," suddenly died. He was 37 years old.
According to Taiwanese media ETtoday and others on the 14th, Wei Menglong fell from a building in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China, in the early hours of the 11th and died.
The agency said in a statement, "We are very saddened to report that our beloved Wei Menglong passed away on Sept. 11," and added, "Police investigation found no signs of criminal suspicion."
According to reports, on the previous day, the 10th, Wei Menglong had dinner with acquaintances at a friend's house, then went into the bedroom in the early hours, locked the door and rested. However, at about 6 a.m. the next day, friends leaving the house did not see him, went downstairs and found his body there.
Born in 1988, Wei Menglong debuted in the entertainment industry in 2013 after placing 10th on the Chinese audition program "Kuai Le Nan Sheng." He later appeared in the dramas "The Princess Weiyoung" and "Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms," gaining great popularity, and formed a wide fandom in China, recording some 26 million followers on Weibo.
In particular, "Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms" was released domestically through OTT services such as Netflix and TVING and became well known.
