Cooking researcher and broadcaster Lee Hye-jung revealed the story of how she caught her doctor husband's affair.
Lee Hye-jung appeared on MBN's Sokpulishow Dongchimi aired on the 13th and recalled when her doctor husband had an affair.
Lee Hye-jung said, "One day during a cooking class I fell ill. I was heading home to make lunchtime and was turning between APT. and APT. when my husband got off the elevator. I called my husband and there was a woman in front of him. Didn't I have a hunch? When I looked closely, the woman standing there wasn't much more attractive than me,"
She went on, "At that moment the woman sprang back. At the same time my husband ran away. I was so furious I chased him and caught him. I thought, 'Should I kill him or spare him?' Hitting him didn't feel satisfying. But as I let go I said, 'Come home early,' and left," she said, revealing how shocked she was at the time.
She continued, "Even by midnight he still hadn't come home. When he didn't come in I wondered, 'What is this?' He came in at 12. I said nothing. I asked, 'What are you going to do?' and he said he loved that woman now. I thought how cruel that was, so I traced that woman. I called her but she changed her number, so I took her address and went to find her. Fortunately she also had a family. She was the wife of a very well-off household. As soon as I entered the house I said nothing and asked, 'What are you going to do?' She said she felt like a female student admiring her Korean language teacher. I thought, 'What a load of nonsense,'"
She added, "I said, 'What time does your husband come? I should tell him to keep his family safe,' and she said she would never come upstairs to see my husband again."
Recalling the time, Lee Hye-jung said, "What made me angrier was when my husband came home and sat down and said, 'Do you have to behave so vulgar?' His attitude made me furious. I said nothing and went into the room saying, 'I'm exhausted,' and he said, 'That fierce woman, the cracked pot at home doesn't leak outside.' I threw the pot. When I threw it he caught it with one hand. That was impressive. That took some of the wind out of me," she said, drawing bittersweet laughter.
She also said, "Later I asked my husband why he got angry with me two years earlier, and he said the fear of what would come was overwhelming. At that time I was earning a lot of money. He also said that if I had said, 'Kill him or spare him,' he would have left."
