'Oh Eun-young Report - Youth hell' high school special is revealed.
The Sept. 15 (Mon.) 10:50 p.m. broadcast of MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report' will be presented as a public broadcast special titled 'Youth hell — adults don't know.' 'Youth hell' is an intergenerational empathy special designed to convey the voices and concerns of marginalized young people to the world and build empathy among adults. Last week's college student episode sparked heated discussion after the frankest-ever worries and Dr. Oh Eun-young Park's bold solutions aired.
Many couples have visited 'Oh Eun-young Report' because of conflicts with their children. In fact, the on-site vote that day on 'Are you consulting your parents about your worries VS not' was revealed, and MCs who have teenage children reportedly felt bittersweet. This 'Youth hell' was prepared to address teenagers' worries that they could not confide anywhere and to resolve conflicts that arise because teenagers and parent generations do not understand each other well. It is expected to deliver reconciliation that transcends generations and deep empathy to viewers.
In particular, that day's 'Youth hell' raises viewers' high expectations as singer Kim Jae-joong and girl group Say My Name make surprise support appearances. Kim Jae-joong delivered an encouraging message saying, "A dream is a promise I make to myself. It's okay if you don't get there quickly, and it's okay to be different from others. I will support all your days," warming the atmosphere on site.
Meanwhile, Dohee of Say My Name surprised the audience by confessing her real experience in response to a student's story about being excluded among friends. Dohee revealed, "I became completely invisible starting with the first-year high school sports day." She then confesses how she overcame the period when she struggled with feelings of exclusion, promising to move viewers at home.
May of Say My Name also offered heartfelt support to a student who dreams of becoming a singer. That day May recalled, "I auditioned about 60 to 70 times. My heart was very troubled, but I worked hard with the determination to make this happen," recounting her experience of not giving up and continuing her dream, eliciting enthusiastic cheers from teenagers.
With candid confessions from teenagers and support from stars, MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report - Youth hell' high school special will air Sept. 15 (Mon.) at 10:50 p.m.
