Starship's mega project "Debut's Plan" produced new boy group IDID, who, two days before their official debut, delivered refreshing, energetic charm with a teaser full of good vibes.
Starship on the 13th drew attention by releasing the second short-form music video teaser for the title track "Shining as I please" from IDID (Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Chu Yoo-chan, Park Seong-hyun, Baek Jun-hyuk, Jeong Se-min)'s first mini album "I did it."
The second teaser was produced in two versions: one filmed with ice as the main object and the other showing members exuding feel-good good vibes that make viewers happy just to watch. The first video using ice as the main object captures every fleeting moment IDID can express with ice — taking selfies using the vapor from cold ice, balancing on ice then dancing, and bringing lips close to ice sculptures.
The second video contains scenes central to the music video story of "Shining as I please" filmed on mobile phones: roller-skating in an open lot, bouncing a basketball, and enjoying games like throwing a water bottle to make it stand on the ground, capturing IDID's unique play culture in a cheerful way. The cool yet fresh "high-end refreshing idol" charm unique to IDID, along with their overflowing energy and youthful freshness at an average age of 18, explode within the short videos shot on mobile phones, building anticipation for the full music video.
IDID is a group of seven members recognized for their all-around skills through Starship's mega project "Debut's Plan." Having successfully completed pre-debut activities with the mini album track "STEP IT UP" from their first mini album "I did it.," attention is focused on what kind of storm they will bring to the fifth-generation idol market.
IDID's debut album "I did it." contains eight tracks, including the title track "Shining as I please." "Shining as I please" conveys a free, energetic sensibility and delivers IDID's cool youthful energy. The album's perfection was enhanced through collaboration with global producers, including U.S. producer Dem Jointz, who has worked with world-class pop stars and global K-pop artists.
In addition, high-quality tracks that could each serve as a title song — "SLOW TIDE," "STEP IT UP," "ImPerfect," "So G.oo.D (I like you so much)," "STICKY BOMB," "The moment piercing a dream (飛必沖天)," and "Kkotpiul CROWN" — were included in IDID's debut album.
Meanwhile, IDID will release their first mini album "I did it." at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15. To celebrate their debut, IDID will open a pop-up store at Photoism Play in Mangwon-dong, Mapo District, Seoul from Sept. 18 to Oct. 1 to get closer to fans.
