Actor An So-young shared behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of the movie 'Aema Widow' and a painful confession afterward.
On the 12th, the YouTube channel "Yoon Mira" uploaded a video titled "Spicy Aema Widow bed scene story (with An So-young)." In the video, actor An So-young appears and reveals behind-the-scenes anecdotes.
An So-young recalled the time of filming 'Aema Widow,' saying, "I performed bold scenes but had no idea about the content, so I fought with the director every day. The script didn't have erotic content, but it was different on set. So it was hard," she said.
She added, "At that time the director told me to undress at all hours. We filmed a scene where I walked through thorny paths while being hit with water in 17 degrees below zero, and it was really cold. As soon as the water touched me it turned into icicles, and even when my skin brushed the wood I bled," she confessed about the painful situation.
Yoon Mira said, "Because of 'Aema Widow,' you became cemented as a sexy icon," but An So-young firmly replied, "People all think that, but I think I was ruined because of 'Aema Widow.' It may have made my name known, but I wanted to be an actor."
She also revealed, "Director Im Kwon-taek said, 'Are you an aema?' and that remark is unforgettable. The director was disappointed. He planned to have me do 'To the Bride' for the next project, and I should have done something like that."
An So-young also said all her advertising contracts ended after the project. She said, "Before that I shot a lot of commercials, but because of 'Aema Widow' my image hardened and they all fell through. That's also why I started singing at night establishments."
