"My Little Old Boy" Mimi explained about being a born-single.
On the 14th episode of the SBS variety show "My Little Old Boy" (hereinafter "MiwooSae"), Oh My Girl's Mimi appeared as a special MC.
That day Mimi drew attention by revealing she was born single. She said she has never had a proper relationship, saying, "I dated twice in total: in 2nd grade of elementary school and 1st year of high school."
She added, "In 10th grade, we dated for 50 days, then the boyfriend cheated and we broke up. In 2nd grade of elementary school, I thought we were dating, but he transferred schools without anyone noticing. I made chocolates for Valentine's Day and went to class, but he had transferred and wasn't there," she said, drawing laughter.
Seo Jang-hoon asked, "What made him cheat?" and Mimi recalled, "Within 50 days he cheated, broke up, and all sorts of things happened. I witnessed him cheating. I saw him hanging out with a woman and hugging her. I was right beside him. He took that woman away," she recalled.
Hearing this, Seo Jang-hoon said, "At this point she's truly born-single. She's been single ever since," and Mimi explained the reason she has remained single to this day: "I felt that dating is all meaningless."
