The group SEVENTEEN apologized for a special effects accident that occurred during a concert.
SEVENTEEN's agency, Pledis Entertainment, on the 14th released an apology saying, "during the final segment of the 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN INCHEON' performance held on Sept. 13 (Sat), some of the special-effect sparks used unexpectedly fell toward the audience seating area."
The agency said, "Although a professional company set the safety distance and direction and conducted repeated checks before the performance, we have determined that the situation occurred due to some defective products," and added, "We deeply apologize to all audience members who were startled or inconvenienced by the sudden situation."
It continued, "The two audience members whose injuries were confirmed at the scene received immediate treatment at the on-site first-aid station and then went home. The company will actively support subsequent medical procedures to ensure the speedy recovery of those affected. To ascertain any additional damage and the specific circumstances, we will send a separate notice message to attendees of that day's performance."
Finally, "For the performance scheduled on Sept. 14 (Sun), we will exclude the problematic products and conduct more thorough safety inspections before proceeding with the special effects to prevent a similar situation from recurring," and added, "Once again, we sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience caused by this incident, and we will do our best to prioritize audience safety and create an even safer performance environment going forward."
