"Geumjjok-gateun nae saeggi" Jung Ju-ri revealed the secret to having many children while undergoing a childcare checkup.
On the Dec. 12 broadcast of Channel A's "These Days' Parenting - Geumjjok-gateun nae saeggi," comedian Jung Ju-ri, known as a leading fertility queen in the entertainment industry and the mother of five sons, appeared.
Alone on the show, Jung Ju-ri, when asked about her husband's absence, said, "My husband has to take care of our children. He has to send them to school, and when they return he has to take them to academies, give them snacks in between, and we also have an infant," she said.
Jung Ju-ri, who has five children ranging from an 11-year-old firstborn to an 8-month-old youngest, answered the question "Was having many children planned?" with "All five were unplanned. Because of unplanned love," adding shyly, "I really love them a lot. I love them a lot, cherish them, consider them, respect them."
Jung Ju-ri, who became a wife in her 10th year after nine years of dating her husband, said, "Because there are so many children, I'm certainly short-handed," but added, "First, it's very reassuring. And I love that there are so many people I love and that there are so many people who love me."
Meanwhile, Jang Young-ran wondered, "People around you will probably ask for the secret since you had five sons, right?" To that Jung Ju-ri joked, "Love them constantly."
Then Dr. Oh Eun-young asked, "Are you thinking about a sixth?" and Jung Ju-ri confessed, "When I gave birth to the fifth, my husband had a vasectomy and then he went to the postpartum care center to recuperate with me. We lay down and rested together."
