Top model Han Hye-jin showed off her "pitching goddess" aura for the first time in 13 years.
On the 13th, before the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League game between Hanwha Eagles and Kiwoom Heroes held at Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark, model Han Hye-jin took the mound as the ceremonial pitcher.
Previously, Han Hye-jin also threw a ceremonial first pitch at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in June 2012. At the time, wearing a Hanwha uniform top and bottom, Han Hye-jin struck a confident pose as she delivered the pitch and earned the nickname "pitching goddess."
In 2012 the pitch was made in front of the mound rather than on it, but her windup pose that showcased her long legs and distinctive figure drew major attention.
This ceremonial pitch was similar yet different. Han Hye-jin, cheering for the Hanwha Eagles for the first time in 13 years, wore spikes to make the pitch on the mound. She also chose spikes in the Hanwha Eagles' signature orange color, drawing attention.
Before the pitch, Han Hye-jin took the microphone and said, "I am so honored to be delivering the ceremonial pitch here today, and I will cheer hard to help prevent injuries to all the players."
Her windup pose, unchanged after 13 years, and her still-slender eight-heads-tall figure caught the eye. The top model's presence remained, and Han Hye-jin could not hide her smile before and after taking the mound as she showed support.
Her four-digit uniform number covering her back also shone. Han Hye-jin, who chose the number "9925," reportedly selected it to mean winning again in 1999 and in 2025.
Han Hye-jin received cheers from the caster and commentator for a pitch thrown close to the body. Commentator Kim Tae-gyun praised her, saying, "She seemed to throw much better than when I threw," and Hanwha pitcher Moon Dong-joo, watching, was also seen cheering and applauding.
Han Hye-jin debuted as a model at the 2nd Seoul International Fashion Collection (SIFAC) in 1999 and now appears on various programs, also working as a broadcaster. Han Hye-jin will host "Super Seller: Incentive Game," which airs on ENA in October, and will return to viewers.
