'Hangout with Yoo?' song festival challengers' song choices have been revealed.
On the afternoon of the 13th, on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo?' which aired, one week before the main performance of the '80s Seoul song festival', Park Myung-soo, Lalal, Solar, Park Young-gyu, Jung Sung-hwa, Lee Juck, Ha Dong-kyun, Yoon Do-hyun, Choi Jung-hoon, Lee Yong-jin, Wooz, Choi Yu-ri, Liz, and Lee Joon-young attended the eve concert. DinDin and Haha did not attend due to scheduling conflicts.
First, Park Young-gyu said he chose Song Chang-sik's "We Are," adding, "I once sang it in the old 'Musical of Memories.' The reason I chose it is because the beautifully drawn lyrics and melody are relatable across eras."
Park Myung-soo chose Yoo Jae-ha's "Because I Love You," which stirred the studio. Yoon Do-hyun said, "It's actually for the best. Isn't there an element of surprise when you discuss the value of art? In a way, it's good that Park Myung-soo is taking on the most difficult song," offering his support.
Park Myung-soo said, "I'm currently taking piano lessons. You can't sing while playing piano. I'm practicing this song on the piano at home. Even if I do well I won't get big praise, and if I don't do well the original is good so people won't complain much. I like adventure. No matter the song, I just have to sing it with my best effort," expressing confidence.
Lee Juck, Wooz, and Ha Dong-kyun said they are still considering their song choices. Lee Juck said, "I wanted to do it not alone but as a duet, but there are hardly any duet songs from the 1980s. There are even fewer male duets. I'm in deep 고민," and spontaneously sang Lee Nam-i's "I Want to Cry."
Wooz, who said he was torn between Park Sun-joo's "Guiro" and Lee Seung-chul's "The Last Concert," passionately sang "Guiro" on the spot. Ha Dong-kyun said he had Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter's "Someone's Dream" and Sinchon Blues' "Alleyway" in mind. He drew attention by completing a duet performance of "Alleyway" with Yoon Do-hyun on the spot.
