"The Seasons-10CM's Ssedam Ssedam" adorned Friday night with performances that transcended genres.
The Dec. 12 broadcast of KBS 2TV music talk show "The Seasons-10CM's Ssedam Ssedam" featured singers Kim Pil, Wendy (WENDY), Big Naughty (BIG Naughty) and the band Touched (TOUCHED), who interacted closely with 10CM and delivered entertaining, diverse performances.
Having successfully finished the first broadcast and feeling more relaxed, 10CM mentioned that Wendy, the first guest, had been chosen as the "female singer No. 1 people want to go see autumn leaves with," and said, "If the survey had been in December, she would have been the "female singer No. 1 people want to go see the first snow with."" Wendy, impressed, praised 10CM's hosting by saying, "He's the best MC," complimenting 10CM's quick wit.
Wendy, who has different vocal styles across group, solo and musical work, surprised by demonstrating various tones. When 10CM said, "I only have two vocal styles," Wendy taught a directly "sweet, endearing cuteness." Wendy offered not only vocal techniques but also a one-point dance lesson, and 10CM followed with a nasal tone style, a cat pose and a hip performance, successfully adding another charm. Wendy then performed "Sunkiss(썬키스)," showing powerful vocals and an immersive stage.
Touched turned the set into a rock festival site in an instant with "Stand Up!(스탠드 업!)." After the frenzied performance, Touched said of meeting 10CM at festivals, "He was so kind and friendly and complimented my activities, so I was grateful." Vocalist Yoon Min revealed a special connection with 10CM, saying that he once sang Haha's sentimental "Chapssaltteok" as an audition song. The members said, "If Yoon Min had failed that audition, Touched wouldn't have been born," and called 10CM "the benefactor and father of Touched," to which 10CM playfully replied, "I'll go around saying that from now on," drawing laughter.
Yoon Min said, "I may not reach golden, but I'll present a rock version with a metallic silver sound," and sang the OST "Golden(골든)" from the globally popular "K-pop Demon Hunters," while 10CM praised it as "a diamond stronger than silver." Finally, Touched performed "Get back(겟 백)," diving into the audience and leading the crowd's unity, heating up the venue with outstanding stage control.
Kim Pil, who suits autumn well, spent time getting closer with 10CM. After Kim Pil showcased his characteristic sensibility and deep vocal power with the performance of "HAPPY END(해피 엔드)," 10CM said, "I felt overwhelmed," and offered a sincere impression. Kim Pil said, "I started music relatively late," and recalled his unknown years, saying, "I did live shows in clubs for about 10 years," creating rapport with 10CM.
Kim Pil and 10CM said they often met at festivals but hadn't grown close, so they launched a "getting closer project," and Kim Pil shyly called him "Jeong-yeol hyung," creating an unexpected chemistry. Kim Pil and 10CM exchanged guitar playing and sang "You're Beautiful(유아 뷰티풀)" and "I'm Yours(아임 유어스)," announcing the birth of a new emotional duo with superb harmony. Kim Pil finished with a performance of "Illusion(일루전)," showing his seasoned vocal ability.
Big Naughty proved a perfect rapport with 10CM with the "Just 10CM" performance. Introducing himself as a younger brother like 10CM's adopted son, Big Naughty said he formed a bond with 10CM through "Let's call it affection," and after being announced as the new MC of "The Seasons," he felt a resurgence of admiration, showing a "true friend moment" that transcended a 20-year age gap. 10CM revealed that Big Naughty had sent a gift set of Korean beef on a holiday, and Big Naughty added, "He sent a gift certificate worth several times more than the beef," continuing 10CM's goodwill and creating a warm moment.
Big Naughty mentioned Park Jae-beom and 10CM and joked, "I don't want to grow old like that," drawing laughter. He added, "He lives so diligently that it's intimidating," saying, "Jeong-yeol hyung did four college festival shows in one day. He did 12 festivals this year alone; it's unbelievable. I don't think I could live that diligently." The two proved they are "soul partners" by singing "Things I believed were love" together, and Big Naughty closed with the performance of "Bye Bye."
