On Aug. 30, when Seo Woo shared an update for the first time in about six years, she opened the YouTube channel "AnnyeonghaSeoWoo" and released her first video yesterday, the 12th, about ten days later. In the video she said, "AnnyeonghaSeoWoo~~?^^ Seo Woo YouTube season 1, life in the U.S. 1," offering a bright greeting and meeting viewers warmly.
Seo Woo introduced herself saying, "Many of you may not know me, but I am an actress who acted briefly a long time ago." She added that she wanted to "record like keeping a diary so the days don't simply pass by," signaling she would present edited accounts of her life in the U.S. The first video included small pleasures such as Korean dishes enjoyed in Korea, the journey to the U.S., and an episode where she attended a friend's wedding party and unexpectedly served as emcee.
Earlier, through social media she said, "I want to remember each happy day like a diary. I will show you myself as I am, with my shortcomings," announcing a new start.
Seo Woo debuted in 2007 with the film "The Son" and rose as a new star in Chungmuro with the 2008 film "Miss Hongdangmu." For that work she won awards including the Korea Film Critics Association Awards, MBC Korea Film Awards, and the Director's Cut Awards Best New Actress, recognizing her acting. She later appeared in dramas such as "Tamnaneun Doda," "Cinderella's Sister," "Flames of Desire," "Glass Mask," and "The King and I," and in films including "The Housemaid" and "Knock," showing a distinctive persona and acting. However, after the 2019 film "The House," she stopped official activities and left the entertainment industry.
