On Sunday the 14th, SBS's Running Man will feature members parading the streets in visuals beyond imagination.
At a recent recording, the show staged a "go straight with your answers" race in which members had to perform sentences made from survey answers they wrote, drawn by chance. In that process, for some reason, the bizarre visuals of certain members who claimed to be the "Lion Boys" from the popular animation "K-pop Demon Hunters" were captured and drew attention.
The Running Man version of the Lion Boys, which looked as if a patch had been sewn on incorrectly, was styled head to toe by other members, and in particular Yang Se-chan, who once discovered Tilda Swinton on Yoo Jae-suk, with his unique sense of style, took on another all-time challenge of "styling Yoo Jae-suk." News of this has only heightened curiosity about their shocking visuals, reminiscent of an "age warning" race.
Meanwhile, the members who boldly took to the streets in that state clung to the cameras more than ever, prompting laughter. It's no wonder: citizens not only failed to recognize the members but mistook them for strange people and even stepped back. Facing the risk of being mistaken for assailants, the members pleaded to the staff, "They must be scared of us... please carry the camera with us," and even publicly sent an apology letter to the Lion Boys.
To see what exactly led them to criticize their own visuals so much, and to watch the "go straight with your answers" race where "aspired beauty" and "achievable beauty" are so different, tune in to Running Man on Sunday the 14th at 6:10 p.m.
