The group BABYMONSTER is set to make a comeback with their second mini album [WE GO UP] on Oct. 10, and the first teaser image has been unveiled, raising the heart rates of global fans.
YG Entertainment posted 'BABYMONSTER 2nd MINI ALBUM [WE GO UP]' on its official blog on the 12th. In line with the YG second-half plan that chief producer Yang Hyun-suk had announced earlier, they confirmed the comeback and released images that give a glimpse of this album's concept.
The poster drew attention with a black-and-white background featuring a noise effect contrasted with neon green font. In particular, the angle that looks down on the city from above hinted at the title name "WE GO UP," which contains the meaning of soaring to a higher place, increasing curiosity.
The title track "WE GO UP" is a hip-hop song that showcases BABYMONSTER's intense energy. A conceptual music video fitting the song's mood has been previewed, and given the striking atmosphere already emanating from the first teaser image, attention is focused on the new musical world BABYMONSTER will unveil with this comeback.
Previously introduced by chief producer Yang Hyun-suk himself, the album's other tracks are also drawing global fans' expectations. They hint at an album filled with diverse charms, from "PSYCHO," which will deliver as much impact as the title track, to the hip-hop-infused slow song "SUPA DUPA LUV," and the country-based dance track "WILD."
In addition, reservation sales for the second mini album [WE GO UP] begin at 11 a.m. that day. It is prepared as three photobooks (WE Ver., GO Ver., UP Ver.) and a digipack with six member-specific versions (PATTERN Ver.), and includes photo books of 72 and 56 pages respectively, as well as posters and selfie photocard items.
Activities for this second mini album [WE GO UP] will proceed with a six-member lineup of Luka, Parita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora and Chikita, excluding Rami. Earlier, YG said Rami would be taking a break, asking for understanding because it was a decision that prioritized the artist's health, and saying, "We will continue to do our best to support Rami and BABYMONSTER."
