Galaxy Corporation, the agency, said in an official statement on the 12th, "We have confirmed through ongoing monitoring, including reports from fans, that posts spreading false information, malicious slander, and defamation about the artist are being posted and distributed, and we are continuously requesting cooperation from investigative authorities and responding accordingly."
They added, "We have retained Yulchon, one of the four major law firms, and are closely monitoring online communities and social media while collecting related materials, and we are also actively using fans' reports as important grounds for legal action," and "We are taking all possible civil and criminal measures, including criminal complaints, against all expressions of illegal acts that evoke the artist, including the artist's real name as well as initial consonants, initials, and nicknames, and we will respond firmly without any leniency or settlement."
G-Dragon's side also emphasized, "Creating unverified rumors or posting malicious texts/videos is clearly illegal. We ask that people refrain from writing and spreading indiscriminate malicious posts about the artist, and we sternly warn that such actions can be subject to legal punishment under the Information and Communications Network Act and the Criminal Act."
Finally, they said, "We will continue to do our best to protect the artist's rights through thorough monitoring and continuous responses."
