KBS 'Immortal Songs' will feature national actress Lee Young-ae. Lee Young-ae appears on 'Immortal Songs' for the first time since her debut, communicating with the six teams of artists as well as the panel of judges and showing off her pleasant charm.
KBS2 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Park Hyung-geun, Kim Hyung-seok, Choi Seung-beom/hereafter 'Immortal Songs') is the undisputed top music variety program that has held the No. 1 spot in its time slot for nearly 14 years. 'Immortal Songs,' which will air on the 13th (Sat), will greet viewers with the episode 'Actress Lee Young-ae, immortal masterpieces.'
The star of this 'Actress Lee Young-ae, immortal masterpieces' episode, Lee Young-ae, debuted as an advertising model in the 1990s and led the Korean wave with dramas such as 'Dae Jang Geum,' earning national love. Also, through the film 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,' she successfully pulled off a dramatic acting transformation and established herself as a "national actress" representing Korea.
Lee Young-ae's appearance on 'Immortal Songs' has also drawn great attention as her first KBS variety outing in 30 years. Appearing on 'Immortal Songs' for the first time since her debut, Lee Young-ae expressed special affection, saying, "As it is a flagship KBS program, I have watched it for a long time, and my whole family also enjoys it together." Saying she had been offered to sing by the producers, Lee Young-ae said, "I even practiced singing (to go on stage), but after doing it once my voice was completely hoarse. I thought, 'Not just anyone can be a singer,'" and added, "From now on I'll just listen to songs," provoking laughter. It was later reported that on the day she shyly performed the song she had practiced, the venue was abuzz.
Meanwhile, in this 'Actress Lee Young-ae, immortal masterpieces' episode, six teams representing various genres — Hong Kyung-min, Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun, Yuk Joong-wan Band, Forestella, W24, and STAYC — will take the stage. Hong Kyung-min will perform DAY6's 'To be a page' which Lee Young-ae and her daughter like; Cha Ji-yeon & Kim Da-hyun will present a tailor-made song for Lee Young-ae with 'Oh Nara' + 'Ha Mang-yeon.' Yuk Joong-wan Band will perform Kim Yoon-ah's 'Spring Day Passes,' the OST of the film 'Spring Day Passes' starring Lee Young-ae; Forestella, returning in full, will choose Yang Hee-eun's 'Flower Vase' as a tribute song for Lee Young-ae and unfold it in their own style. W24 will sing Lee Young-ae's beauty with Bit & Salt's 'Shampoo fairy,' and STAYC will deliver an impressive stage with Nam Il-hae's 'Red Shoes Girl,' which evokes Lee Young-ae's 'Lady Vengeance.'
The episode 'Actress Lee Young-ae, immortal masterpieces,' where viewers can see Lee Young-ae's pleasant charm and the fantastic stages of the six teams of artists, will reach viewers on the 13th (Sat).
