Singer Lee Chaeyeon, formerly of the group IZ*ONE, is leaving WM Entertainment.
WM Entertainment said on the 12th, "After long discussions with Lee Chaeyeon, we have agreed to terminate the exclusive contract. We will continue to support work so that scheduled activities proceed without issue for the time being," in an official statement.
They continued, "We sincerely thank Lee Chaeyeon, who grew through IZ*ONE and as a solo artist and maintained a long relationship with our company, and we will also support Lee Chaeyeon's future as she begins anew."
Lee Chaeyeon debuted with IZ*ONE after appearing on the cable channel Mnet survival program 'Produce 48' broadcast in 2018, and has worked as a solo singer after the group's activities ended. She is also the older sister of ITZY member Lee Chaeryeong.
