The newlywed Kim Jong-min, who married in April, will learn pregnancy, childbirth and childrearing firsthand.
Kim Jong-min, who joined TV CHOSUN's Our baby was born again (directed by Lee Seung-hoon and Kim Joon, writer Jang Joo-yeon / hereafter "Our baby") as a "birth correspondent" for its regular premiere on the 16th, said, "I want to learn everything overall," hinting that he will develop his qualities as an expectant father. Kim Jong-min, who recently said he had quit drinking and was preparing for a second child, said pregnancy, childbirth and childrearing are his biggest recent interests. Preparing to become a father, Kim Jong-min said, "I want to understand every aspect a woman goes through," expressing hope that appearing on "Our baby" will be an opportunity to understand his wife. 1. Please give a word about your feelings on joining "Our baby."
This has been my biggest area of interest. It so happens that I am joining "Our baby," so I think it will be a very meaningful time. Especially my wife keeps talking about the baby and told me to go to "Our baby" and learn a lot. I am appearing to learn properly firsthand.
2. You must still feel you lack knowledge about childbirth and childrearing. What part do you most want to learn through "Our baby"?
I want to learn and understand not only the childbirth process but everything from pregnancy and all the experiences women go through.
3. In childbirth and childrearing, is there a role you definitely want to take on as a father?
Rather than insisting on taking a specific role, I want to learn everything overall and do it. If I can do everything, I think I can move appropriately where needed.
4. Before filming, do you have any personal items or mindset you definitely want to bring?
I pay attention to putting expectant mothers at ease. I will also try to reduce their fears.
5. This time "Our baby" will cover more diverse mothers, families and situations. What part are you most excited or looking forward to personally?
I am excited to be able to share the process of life being born.
6. If any close acquaintances or family shared their childbirth or childrearing experiences, what story stood out most?
I heard the advice that when the baby is born, take care of the mother first.
7. What would you like to learn from the two experienced childbirth participants (Park Soo-hong, Sayuri)? Or if there was any memorable advice they gave during filming, please share it.
Soo-hong hyung advised that natural childbirth seems better and told me the "advantages of natural birth." But Sayuri's response to that stuck with me: she said, "You might not know well because you didn't give birth yourself."
8. If you were to describe "Our baby" in one sentence, how would you express it? You can also point out viewing highlights.
If I were to describe "Our baby," I would call it "humanity." If you see it yourself, you'll understand why. And the viewing point is that "Our baby" contains the earnest wishes of all mothers and families. If you focus on that part, you will be able to watch it more warmly.
9. What do you want viewers of "Our baby" to definitely know about childbirth or this program?
I hope people will support the great process of a life being born. TV CHOSUN's Our baby was born again, the nation's first childbirth live variety show that goes directly to delivery rooms to cheer and celebrate the birth of a new life, will have its regular premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 10 p.m.
