Kim Ji-hye, formerly of the group Cats, shared the situation of herself and her children after giving birth.
On the 11th, Kim Ji-hye posted on her social account, "I'm fine, but both babies are in the NICU, they're not breathing and can't drink formula, so they're being given nutrition through IV fluids.. Please pray a lot so they can get healthy. Stay strong, my twins, mom is here," she wrote.
The photo that was uploaded together captured the neonatal intensive care unit center. It appears she visited the place where the children are despite her body not yet fully recovered.
Kim Ji-hye then said, "I can't reply to DMs from acquaintances and friendsㅜㅜ I'm out of my mind because of the babiesㅜ I'll get my mental state together soon!" and shared a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed receiving an IV.
Earlier, Kim Ji-hye married musical actor Choi Seong-wook, formerly of the group Paran, in 2019, and announced earlier this year that she was pregnant with twins through in vitro fertilization. But as her due date approached, she received multiple warnings from the hospital about the risk of preterm labor, and about two weeks before her due date on the 1st she reported, "I'm at the emergency room. My stomach has been tightening and hard all day, fetal movements are very strong and I'm in much more pain than usual. I called the hospital and they told me to come right away, so I'm heading to the hospital. Not yet, twins. Don't come out. You need to reach 37 weeks," notifying that she had visited the emergency room.
But on the 8th, one week before the due date, Choi Seong-wook posted on behalf of his wife, "Suddenly around 3:30 a.m. today her water broke and there was bleeding, so we urgently visited the emergency room, but labor had already progressed significantly and it seems they will perform an emergency cesarean right away. I want to be by her side but there's nothing I can do and it's so frustrating. I only hope my wife and the babies are healthy. Everyone, please pray," conveying the tense moment and raising concern.
In an additional post on the 9th he said, "She delivered safely, but the babies are in the neonatal intensive care unit so we can't take pictures and can't show their faces yet. My wife had slightly elevated blood pressure after delivery with mild early signs of preeclampsia, but she endured well and is recovering, so please don't worry too much; we will greet you again in a healthier condition. We sincerely thank everyone who supported the delivery," he said.
In particular, on the 11th he posted a long message: "Baekho Yorong finally saw the light of day. To our Ji-hye, who suffered the most, thank you for enduring the hard times. Even during long labor, she endured all the pain without an epidural and bore it—her 모습 was motherhood itself and I deeply respect her. Becoming a mother is truly great, and this was a moment I realized that again. After six years of infertility and through in vitro fertilization we precious met our twins, and during the 35 weeks she carried them, I sometimes felt sorry for my wife who worried more about the babies in her womb than about herself," he wrote, expressing respect for his wife.
He said, "Our babies must be a little scared and lonely in the neonatal intensive care unit right now, but they're enduring well by relying on each other. My wife needs to focus on recovery even more, but she cries every time she sees the babies and comforts them every day. Her words, 'I'm strong so don't worry,' make me feel endlessly ashamed," and added, "We will greet you soon with a healthier appearance, my wife and the babies. To everyone who worried and blessed us.. thank you again so much. Honey. As a father I will do my best. Let's get our family of four well again soon, take lots of photos while smiling, eat delicious food to our heart's content, and live happily," conveying his deep feelings and touching readers.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-hye shared an update from the hospital, "I'm doing well. Thank you all for worrying about us," directly responding to the outpouring of support and concern.
