The singer Byul from 'Gakjip Couple' expressed being taken aback by the charm of her youngest daughter Song-yi.
On the 11th episode of tvN STORY's 'Gakjip Couple', Moon So-ri's routine of traveling between Seoul and Dongtan was portrayed. Moon So-ri, who has devoted herself to her family since childhood, was supporting her mother, who in her 70s had taken on the challenge of pursuing a dream.
Her mother, Lee Hyang-ran, said, "I borrowed money and ran a street stall at Seokchon Lake. I thought that after a few years I might be able to open a shop. While I was running the business, my son, the teacher, called; when I went there I found he had gone to an arcade and played games. It seemed like nothing, but at the time it felt like the sky was falling," and said she gave up the business. Still, her mother showed great affection for Moon So-ri, who ranked fifth in her class.
Kim Jung-min asked, "Do you praise Yeon-dua a lot?" Moon So-ri said, "She's the daughter of a famous person, so she attracts attention anyway. I try not to single her out, but if she does well I try to praise her," adding that she tries to be as objective a parent as possible.
Hearing this, Byul said, "Since Song-yi is the youngest daughter, she always hears that she's pretty and cute wherever she goes. I, as a parent, keep saying she's cute, cute, but one day Song-yi looked in the mirror and asked, 'Mom, do you want to become pretty like me?'" which sent the studio into an uproar. Byul added, "Hearing that, I should have praised her more objectively," drawing laughter.
