The group ILLIT is continuing its popularity march by dominating the top ranks of Japan's major album charts.
On the 11th, according to Japan's Oricon, ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s first Japanese single Toki Yo Tomare (original title 時よ止まれ/トキ ヨ トマレ) ranked No. 2 on the latest weekly combined single ranking (Sept. 15 edition/measurement period Sept. 1-7). The single also ranked No. 2 on the weekly single ranking compiled for the same period.
Oricon's weekly combined single ranking tallies CD sales, digital downloads and streaming counts to determine rankings. Toki Yo Tomare surpassed the first-week points of the group's domestic mini-album 3 Bomb (bomb) released in June on this chart, proving ILLIT's hot growth.
Toki Yo Tomare also ranked No. 2 on Billboard Japan's latest top single sales chart (Sept. 10 edition/measurement period Sept. 1-7). The title track of the same name entered the overall song chart Hot 100 at No. 4.
The title track's music video also showed its presence on the weekly charts while receiving steady love. The video, praised for its youth-film–like visuals, hit No. 1 on Line Music's music video top 100 real-time and daily charts and then rose to No. 2 on the weekly chart (measurement period Sept. 3-9).
Their activities on local broadcasts also shone. On the 9th, they performed the title track Toki Yo Tomare in a band version on NHK music show Utacon, showcasing not only a different charm but also stable live skills. Trendy styling featuring geek-chic glasses also attracted attention. On the same day, on TBS's popular morning show LOVE it!, they endeared themselves to local fans with their witty variety show sensibilities.
According to Belift Lab, a label of HYBE music group (chairman Bang Si-hyuk), ILLIT has been receiving consecutive love calls for large-scale festivals. They performed as the opening special artist at Japan's largest fashion festival The 41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER on the 6th, delivering a dazzling performance that drew audience response. On the 14th, they will appear on the main stage of Rock in Japan Festival 2025 at Soga Sports Park in Chiba City, Japan.
