The flashy self-introductions of the 28th season's divorced single men on 'I Am Solo' stood out.
On the 10th episode of the SBS variety show 'I Am SOLO - I Am Solo' (hereafter 'I Am Solo'), after the first impression selections, the first drinking gathering and the male participants' self-introductions began.
Female participants flocked to Sang-cheol and Young-soo. Jeong-hee chose Young-cheol but on the way realized she had no romantic interest in him and excluded him. Regarding Young-soo, Yeong-ja and Soon-ja also felt differently than their first impressions. Soon-ja said, "I think I got to know Young-soo a lot. My preference isn't someone with a leader personality, but he seemed very leadership-oriented. I think it's okay to stop looking further," and said it bluntly. Jeong-sook drank heavily at the gathering and spoke informally to Young-ho, called Young-soo oppa and acted cute. After returning to the residence, Jeong-sook also cried heavily and received comfort from Jeong-hee.
After the rowdy drinking ended, self-introductions took place the next day. Young-soo said, "My age is 41, born in '84, and I'm a startup founder for seven years, working as a CEO in the food-related field," and explained that thanks to a stable enterprise he is currently pursuing a master's degree and is also scheduled to enter a doctoral program at a U.S. university. He said, "I'm confident I won't starve wherever I go," and "I plan to have children, but it doesn't matter whether my partner has children or not. Because I can provide for them sufficiently," which made Hyun-sook, who has three children, cry.
Young-ho said, "I was born in '89, I'm 37. I live in Seoul and my hometown is Ganghwa Island. I majored in leisure sports at Korea National Sport University and currently run a business that supplies diving equipment and lifesaving equipment to public agencies like fire stations or coastal police," and added, "People with children are fine, but preferably I hope the child is emotionally mature enough to connect with a father figure," showing a mature attitude.
Young-sik, who appeared modest, showed a surprising charm. He said his 18-year-old daughter applied herself and made him come on the show, adding, "I focused on raising my daughter. So my social life was somewhat lacking." Jeong-sook asked, "Your first is already grown so much, would you consider a second?" and he replied, "That's quite a heavy question. I don't particularly think about it, but if desired, I'll try my best!" which raised his likability.
Gwang-soo, with a sophisticated image, said, "I'm a record producer who has overseen A&R work for more than 10 years," and it was reported he was in charge of MBLAQ, MADTOWN and KARD. He is raising a 19-year-old daughter who is studying for exams and said he came on the show at his daughter's urging, drawing attention.
