'My Turn' entertainer Tak Jae-hoon got matching couple tattoos with Kim Yong-rim, who is 28 years his senior.
On the Nov. 11 episode of SBS' 'One Shot Project My Turn,' Tak Jae-hoon and Kim Yong-rim visit Itaewon.
That day, Kim Yong-rim hesitated, saying, "But isn't this something young people do? Do we have to do this?" and Tak Jae-hoon persuaded her, saying, "It's fine. Your heart is still in its twenties, so why not? It's fine, let's go in."
Inside was a tattoo artist with a rough appearance, Kim Kkot-dure (played by Ahn Young-mi). Seeing the two, Kim Kkot-dure said, "We don't do eyebrow tattoos. That's not our specialty," and Tak Jae-hoon replied, "We're not here for eyebrow tattoos; we came for couple tattoos."
Kim Kkot-dure was flustered, saying, "Did someone book a couple tattoo for 3 p.m.? Then are you grandchildren? You don't look like grandchildren. I don't think you're a couple," and Kim Yong-rim explained, "We are a couple." Kim Kkot-dure tilted her head and said, "At a glance you look like a grandmother and a son," and Kim Yong-rim snapped, "Can't you see this? We're holding like this?" Tak Jae-hoon explained, "She's holding my wrist, we're holding hands," and Kim Yong-rim emphasized, "We're holding because we love each other."
Kim Kkot-dure asked, "Then how old are you?" and Kim Yong-rim explained, "I'm 85. This one is almost 60." Hearing this, Kim Kkot-dure exclaimed, "Wow, holy cow, amazing. Wow, very A.T. I can't believe my own eyes. Korea's Demi Moore! A new woman! Wow, incredible," then asked again, "Are you really dating?" and Kim Yong-rim responded sharply, "What's so surprising?" Kim Kkot-dure said, "Is this a hidden camera? I've never seen such an age gap," and Tak Jae-hoon intervened, "Rim, stop it and come here."
Kim Yong-rim expressed concern, saying, "But do we really have to do this? Looking at people, it seems weirder," and Tak Jae-hoon, seeing Kim Kkot-dure's posture, asked in puzzlement, "Were you taking a credit entry?" Kim Kkot-dure said, "This is comfortable for me. I have plantar fasciitis in my foot. Sitting on the floor is a bit uncomfortable. Don't worry about it," but Kim Yong-rim pointed out, "Hello. No matter if you're the owner, sit properly." Tak Jae-hoon tried to stop her, saying, "Oh, why are you acting like an old fogy! What, like a mother-in-law?" but in the end Kim Kkot-dure adjusted her posture and sat properly.
She asked, "Do you two have any designs in mind?" and Kim Yong-rim said, "No, if you love someone, don't you put a heart with the name?" Kim Kkot-dure began, "If you're going to do something that ordinary, go get an eyebrow tattoo instead. Of course, nothing is eternal, not even love. Even our deity said nothing lasts forever," and Kim Yong-rim snapped, "What?" Kim Kkot-dure, flustered, said, "I mean the deity GD exists. Why are you so upset?" and Kim Yong-rim retorted, "Why would you say love isn't eternal? Our love is eternal."
Kim Kkot-dure explained her tattoos, saying, "There is no eternal love. But if you leave it as a tattoo, the history of love remains. Look. This is where I had my first love's first kiss. I placed it exactly on that lip area, symbolically. And the date on my arm is the day I broke up with that person. We broke up," which made Tak Jae-hoon ask, "Then what is this, bulldog?" Kim Kkot-dure said, "This was someone I dated briefly but he was a jerk, and I couldn't forget that jerk," which drew laughter.
Tak Jae-hoon asked, "Do you have a recommended design? Since we're a couple. Something that shows promise and that feeling," and Kim Kkot-dure said, "How about this: 'NO hat'. We're not hat people. Don't elders sleep a lot? So 'No mo, ja?' something like that could work. It's an open ending," which irritated the two. She then suggested, "Then let's go simple like this. How about 86♥69," and Kim Yong-rim yelled, "I'm 85!" Kim Kkot-dure said, "But this year will all pass anyway," and Kim Yong-rim protested, "Why would you add instead of subtract?" Kim Kkot-dure asked, "Or would you like 'immortality' instead?" and an angry Kim Yong-rim crumpled the paper and threw it.
Tak Jae-hoon requested, "Make it 'Hoonie' for Rim and 'Rimi' for me," and Kim Kkot-dure said, "That's too normal. How about doing it on the groin? Couples often do it on the groin, the butt crease, or the chest," which shocked Kim Yong-rim. Tak Jae-hoon said, "I think it's better to just do it on the arm," and the two received their tattoos.
Seeing the 'Hoonie♥' tattoo on Kim Yong-rim's arm, Tak Jae-hoon said, "It turned out pretty. The heart is pretty too," and Kim Yong-rim said, "This turned out well. Let me see yours." But on Tak Jae-hoon's arm was written 'Nimi♥.' Kim Kkot-dure said, "Isn't the name Nimi?" and added, "I thought it was an honorific 'nim'," looking bewildered, and Kim Yong-rim took a permanent marker to correct the name herself. Tak Jae-hoon exclaimed angrily, "This isn't the time to joke. This really doesn't come off, it's permanent marker!" which made everyone laugh. In the end, Kim Yong-rim drew a line with the marker and changed the letters to 'Rimi♥.'
