Coupang Play series 'Office Workers 2' actress Shim Ja-yoon boasted of support from STAYC members.
Shim Ja-yoon met reporters on the morning of the 11th at a location in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and said, "When I go to STAYC events, people tell me 'I enjoy your songs' and 'I watch your YouTube,' but recently at events they said they enjoy 'Office Workers,' so it felt strange. People recognize me a lot. It was surprising," expressing her overwhelming feelings.
She continued, "Season 1 ended after six episodes. It rushed and ended. I wondered if this was right? I was disappointed because it ended before I could adapt. In season 2, I became closer with the seniors and feel more comfortable. In Swings' episode I ad-libbed 'Amanchu' and for the first time it went into the five-minute YouTube preview," she said with a proud smile.

Shim Ja-yoon said, "A bit of my real personality is in there. Things I only imagined feel like they come out in 'Office Workers.' I wanted to be funny when we're relaxed among members. When a member says something, I throw an ad-lib and it cracks everyone up. They said I became funnier after 'Office Workers.' We play around giving each other feedback," conveying the members' encouragement.
She added, "The members say I'm admirable. Sumin unnie takes care of me the most. At the end of season 1, they told me I worked so hard and thanked me for holding on among the seniors, and I cried. I was moved. But there is no member to follow in my footsteps. They're all more laid-back. We're not a team that comes up with creative gags. 'Office Workers' is the Amazon. I have to survive well on my own," she emphasized, drawing laughter.
'Office Workers 2' reached No. 1 among Coupang Play's popular works immediately upon its release on Aug. 9 (Sat). This is the result of the cast's brilliant ad-libs that evoke empathy from real office workers and star guests actively immersing themselves in the universe. New episodes are released every Saturday at 8 p.m.
