A decomposed body was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered under the name of U.S. pop singer D4vd (birth name David Anthony Burke, 20).
On the 9th (local time), U.S. networks ABC and NBC reported that a body in a bag was found inside a Tesla stored at a tow yard in Los Angeles (LA), California.
The vehicle had been abandoned on a road near Hollywood and towed, and police responding to an odor complaint found a decomposed body in the trunk. The body was inside a bag, and the identity has not yet been confirmed.
Police are investigating the circumstances of death without ruling out the possibility of homicide. It is expected to take some time to confirm details. Police also found a body in a vehicle at another tow yard in South LA and are looking into whether the two cases are connected.
The vehicle is one of several owned by D4vd and was reportedly used by people around him. D4vd's side said, "We were notified of the case by police and, despite currently being on tour, are cooperating faithfully with the investigation."
D4vd is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who gained attention on TikTok, released his first full-length album this year, and is currently on his "Withered World" world tour. He made his name known in Korea by holding his first show there last year and appearing on Mnet's "M Countdown" stage on May 5. In June, he released "Always Love," featuring Stray Kids' Hyunjin.
