Actor Kim Beom-rae's film "The Family's Secret" meets audiences.
The film "The Family's Secret," in which Kim Beom-rae gives a passionate performance, opens today (10th). "The Family's Secret" tells a special story of becoming a family again as the secrets of Yeon-jeong (played by Kim Hye-eun), who suddenly begins to be away from home often, Mi-na (played by Kim Bo-yoon), who starts behaving suspiciously, and Jin-su (played by Kim Beom-rae), who suddenly says he will exercise and leaves home every holiday, connect into one.
Kim Beom-rae plays the unshakable head of the household, Park Jin-su. Jin-su suddenly leaves the house from morning saying he is going to exercise, but behind that is a character with another motive.
Kim Beom-rae said, "Jin-su is an extremely ordinary head of a household," and added, "He loves his family more than anyone and is a person who tries to protect his home." Because the real-life Kim Beom-rae is also the head of a household with a wife and children, his acting in "The Family's Secret" comes across as more natural and deeply moving.
Returning to the screen after a year through "The Family's Secret," Kim Beom-rae described the work as "a film that begins with the secretive actions of families and depicts events that could happen to neighbors around us or to ourselves." He added, "I hope audiences comfortably empathize with our story of overcoming sorrow and pain and living energetically again," urging many to see the film.
At the screening held on the 4th, "The Family's Secret" moved audiences with the actors' performances that heightened the film's immersion.
Meanwhile, before its release, "The Family's Secret" advanced to the Asian film competition section at the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival and was also invited to the Neon section of the 8th Malaysia International Film Festival, receiving recognition for its artistic quality.
Active across film, musical and drama, Kim Beom-rae will continue vigorous activities by appearing in "Annoying Love," which will air on tvN this October, following "The Family's Secret".
