The group Gavy NJ's 5th generation continues the lineage of "female vocal groups."
Gavy NJ 5th generation (Riel, Luan, Yejan, Naye) releases their debut album The Gavy NJ on various music sites today (10th) at 6 p.m., marking their first step into the music industry.
The title track "Happiness (2025)" is a reinterpretation of Gavy NJ's 2005 debut song in the voices of Gavy NJ 5th generation. In particular, "Happiness" is a medium-tempo R&B ballad that has become symbolic of Gavy NJ, characterized by an addictive melody that anyone who enjoyed the music and culture of that time would find themselves humming along to.
The music video released with the song was also produced in a dramatized format that evokes the 2000s sensibility. Using a camcorder as a device, the four members time-slip to a day in 2005 that serves as the background of the original music video. From images of Gavy NJ 5th generation singing on stage to the appearance of a mysterious figure, it keeps viewers from taking their eyes off the screen for a moment.
In addition, The Gavy NJ includes three tracks in total, such as "I guess I'll still live (2025)," whose poignant, aching melody evokes longing as the title suggests, and "Blue (2025) (feat. J.seph of KARD)," a song the members decided to remake themselves, with support from senior labelmate and group KARD member J.seph providing rap featuring.
Gavy NJ 5th generation consists entirely of rookie female vocalists Riel, Luan, Yejan and Naye. With the bold aspiration that "this voice is Gavy NJ," Gavy NJ 5th generation is determined to inherit the group's musical legacy while building its own distinctive musical color with their new voices. By remaking previously released Gavy NJ songs, Gavy NJ 5th generation promises to show a deft harmony of old and new, with 2000s sensibility layered with modern production, raising expectations.
