SEVENTEEN's new special unit S.COUPS X Mingyu shone with 'perfect combo' chemistry.
Pledis Entertainment, HYBE's music group label chaired by Bang Si-hyuk, posted 16 individual official photo 'COMBI' version cuts and three mood board images from S.COUPS X Mingyu's mini album 1st 'HYPE VIBES' on SEVENTEEN's official social media at 10 p.m. on the 9th.
If the previously released 'BUDDY' version presented S.COUPS and Mingyu's daily life in an understated way, this version shows the two on a stylish outing. Dressed in monochrome outfits as they roam the nighttime streets and enjoy a fun time at a billiard hall, they give off the sense of a perfectly synced duo.
Shot between day and night in Hawaii, U.S., the official photos are filled with a relaxed atmosphere as if capturing the pair's summer vacation. They take a breather under the blue sky and enjoy the vast coastal road scenery, spending unhurried time. S.COUPS and Mingyu sitting on an open-top car show off a cool charm.
S.COUPS X Mingyu will release the mini album 1st 'HYPE VIBES' on the 29th. The album title expresses a hot and free atmosphere that anyone can enjoy together and connect with. The two's attitude of living this moment in their own rhythm without fixed boundaries is reflected in the new release.
On the 12th, the track list and the title song's name are expected to be unveiled. Then on the 16th a track sampler and on the 22nd a highlight medley will be released sequentially, offering glimpses of the new songs' moods. Two official music video teasers will be available on the 25th–26th.
SEVENTEEN's group activities will continue. They will open the dazzling gates of SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 13th–14th. They will then play Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on the 27th–28th and continue the tour in five North American cities in October and four major domes in Japan in November–December.
