Actor Shim Hyung-tak appears on 'Radio Star' and reveals the story of how his son "Haru" became a top star even in Japan just one day after appearing on the show.
The MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star,' airing today (10th), is presented as a special titled "ma-eum-eun buja appa mom-eun gananhan appa" featuring Kim Soo-yong, Lim Hyung-joon, Shim Hyung-tak and Kim In-man.
Shim Hyung-tak recently joined 'The Return of Superman' and reveals that he is experiencing a "second heyday" with his son "Haru." He said, "My wife worried a lot when we revealed the child," drawing attention. He said they had many concerns because Korean broadcasting often features family variety shows, unlike Japan where celebrities' families are more conservatively shown.
After much deliberation, Shim Hyung-tak and his wife decided to appear, and during the first broadcast they were staying at his wife's parents' home in Japan; after the show aired, they were surprised that Japanese people recognized their son "Haru." He also said that on the flight to Korea there were more fans who recognized "Haru" than recognized him.
When the adorable "Haru," whose thick hair matched his cuteness, was revealed, MC Kim Goo-ra said, "He looks like Poby from Future Boy Conan," and couldn't take his eyes off him. At Haru's bright smile, Shim Hyung-tak said, "He really laughs a lot," showing a "father's smile." Praise poured in for Haru's cute looks, which he inherited directly from his mother's beauty.
Also, Shim Hyung-tak, a 25-year veteran actor, said, "If I only post my photos on social media, I don't get likes," then joked that when he posts photos of "Haru" the likes explode, drawing laughter. Lim Hyung-joon agreed, confessing, "I once took down my photo after getting no reactions," which provoked roaring laughter.
The Korea-Japan joint parenting episodes of Shim Hyung-tak and his wife Saya, who are receiving great love in Korea and Japan, can be seen on 'Radio Star,' which airs tonight (10th) at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
