HYBE and Geffen Records' global girl group KATSEYE is drawing attention as it continues to climb back up the main album chart following its appearance on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The fact that the entire album is being loved evenly is evidenced by tracks such as "Gabriela" and "Gnarly".
According to the latest U.S. Billboard chart released on the 9th (chart dated Sept. 13), KATSEYE (Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sofia, Yoonchae)'s second EP "BEAUTIFUL CHAOS" ranked 28th on the Billboard 200.
Released on June 27, "BEAUTIFUL CHAOS" first entered the chart at No. 4 (chart dated July 12), setting the group's best record. Since then it has shown strong staying power, charting for 10 consecutive weeks. The album's steady popularity is notable even though two months have passed since its release.
In particular, their rankings rebounded following their performances at Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic 2025. The album, which had seen a gradual decline and once rested in the 60s, rose to No. 53 (chart dated Aug. 30), No. 45 (chart dated Sept. 6) and jumped 17 spots this week.
Their popularity surge continues on Billboard's main song chart as well. On the latest Hot 100 (chart dated Sept. 13), "Gabriela" rose to No. 64 and "Gnarly" to No. 100. It is encouraging that sales for the album and its tracks are all showing a clear resurgence. Their global influence appears to be expanding rather than being a one-off craze.
KATSEYE has recently been constantly at the center of attention. Their "Better in Denim" advertisement with clothing brand GAP is dominating social media, and they took home the Push Performance of the Year trophy at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
KATSEYE is a group realizing the "globalization of K-pop methodology" led by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk. They were formed through the global audition project "Dream Academy," which attracted 120,000 applicants worldwide, and debuted in the U.S. last June based on HYBE America's training & development (T&D) system. From November, they will embark on their first solo North American tour, continuing new challenges.
