The dating reality show EXchange is summoning legendary moments and heightening excitement for season 4.
TVING original EXchange 4 is a dating reality show in which couples who broke up for various reasons gather in one house to revisit past relationships, face new connections and find their own love. From the pain of breakups and the thrill of reunions to the narratives of new love, it examined the standout scenes from season 1 through season 3 that evoked intense immersion.
# a heartrending story between Seon Ho-min and Kim Bo-hyun that couldn't be watched without tears
Seon Ho-min and Kim Bo-hyun, who reunited on EXchange after ending a nearly 3 years and 5 months romance, showed the most realistic portrayal of a breakup couple in season 1 and drew strong sympathy. Seon Ho-min tried to keep his distance with as much courtesy as possible for his ex's new love, while Kim Bo-hyun could not hide her hurt at the cold attitude of the person who had been the kindest to her during their relationship and ultimately cried.
When Kim Bo-hyun said she was not yet ready for either a breakup or a new relationship, Seon Ho-min unleashed the emotions he had been holding back. He collapsed amid a whirl of overwhelming feelings, stood in the rain and sobbed, and confessed his guilt, saying, "I made her like that." Although he tried to act fine in the face of the breakup, the scene of him collapsing at the sight of the tears of the person he loved most left viewers with a deep aftertaste.
# "See you tomorrow, noona" — EXchange 2's all-time standout scene
Seong Hae-eun, who was single-mindedly devoted to her ex to the point of idolizing them, spent her days and nights in tears alone in the EXchange house, breaking everyone's hearts. But the arrival of Jung Hyun-gyu at the Jeju house flipped the whole dynamic and delivered a thrilling rush.
Jung Hyun-gyu's arrival made not just the female residents but the male residents nervous, and he pointed to Seong Hae-eun as the person he wanted to date in front of everyone, filling the studio with cheers. In the moment when the unexpected development stirred the set, Jung Hyun-gyu looked at Seong Hae-eun and sealed it once more by saying, "See you tomorrow, noona," creating an all-time dopamine-inducing moment that made every noona's heart flutter.
# a passionate love fight in the dark! Lee Joo-won: "You said 'I'm sorry, honey,' right? EXchange didn't come out like this"
At a point when X's identity had not yet been revealed, Lee Joo-won and Lee Seo-kyung continued a subtle battle of nerves that had viewers on the edge of their seats. Amid the tense atmosphere, Lee Joo-won secretly called Lee Seo-kyung to a secluded spot away from others' eyes, and the two, unaware of the cameras, immersed themselves in the situation, creating thrilling tension and suspense.
Lee Joo-won told Lee Seo-kyung, who seemed to have adapted as if nothing was wrong, "I don't know why I worried," and at that moment the surprising revelation that the two were Xs was announced. At the same time, Lee Joo-won, who had not received a candid message, faced private time with her and his emotions steadily intensified, leading to a heated argument revealing their opposing views on the breakup. In particular, Lee Joo-won left a legendary line: "You said 'I'm sorry, honey,' right? EXchange didn't turn out like this."
The stories created by people with different relationship narratives who immersed themselves solely in the emotion of "love" produced countless standout scenes from season 1 through season 3. Looking back, since every moment was legendary, anticipation is growing over which cast member will leave what memorable scene in the upcoming season 4.
EXchange 4 will be released exclusively on TVING on Oct. 1.
