Actor Kwon Oh-jung shared a positive influence by taking part in the ice bucket challenge with his son, who has a rare disease.
On the 10th, Kwon Oh-jung posted a message and a video on his social media account saying, "I have been nominated by actor Go Han-min to take on the 2025 ice bucket challenge."
In the video, Kwon Oh-jung took on the ice bucket challenge with his son, Hyeok-jun. Nominated by actor Go Han-min and standing in front of the camera, Kwon Oh-jung explained why he participated and cheered on the operation of a Lou Gehrig care hospital, then poured the ice water from the bucket over himself.
After his son Hyeok-jun first poured the ice water over himself, Kwon Oh-jung followed, and the two successfully completed the refreshing challenge. Kwon Oh-jung celebrated the success with his son with a thumbs-up and then nominated the next three people to take part in the challenge, including singer and actor Yang Dong-geun and actor Jang Won-young.
The ice bucket challenge involves posting a video of pouring ice water over oneself and nominating three people; pouring ice water can be replaced by a donation. It is known to have started in 2014 to raise awareness of Lou Gehrig's disease and encourage donations.
Meanwhile, Kwon Oh-jung married in 1996 and has one son. His son is reported to have a rare developmental disorder that affects 15 people worldwide and one person in Korea.
