Da young of the group WJSN is releasing her first solo album after nine years since her debut.
According to her agency Starship Entertainment, Da young will release 'gonna love me, right?' at 6 p.m. today (9th) through various music streaming sites.
'gonna love me, right?' is an album in which Da young participated in planning, lyric writing, and composing, expressing 'confidence' and 'love.' Da young asks, "You will love me, right?" while boldly stating, "You will come to love me!" conveying her sincere feelings without holding back. She plans to invite listeners into the music world she designed and completed herself, delivering messages of love and self-assurance.
The album includes a total of three tracks, including the title track 'body' and the other songs 'number one rockstar' and 'marry me.' Da young unfolds these three tracks in her unique way, creating an attractive narrative. In particular, 'marry me' showcases Da young's lively energy and distinctive character as she participated in both writing and composing.
Previously, the title track 'body' attracted attention with a teaser revealing Da young's bold transformation. The song features punchy beats and an addictive hook, combined with Da young's refreshing vocals, reminiscent of late summer. Da young defines it as 'It's emotions and attitude that reach before words,' singing about conveying feelings without words on stage. She portrays the main character of this stage as someone who can convey love with confidence and a single glance.
There are high expectations for the new side of Da young that will be revealed through 'gonna love me, right?'. Over the past nine years, she has continuously challenged herself to add her own color while performing with WJSN and WJSN Chocome. In that process, Da young will express the solid skills she has built over nine years most clearly in vocals, rap, and performance, proving her time and growth not only through music but also on stage.
Meanwhile, Da young will release her first digital single 'gonna love me, right?' at 6 p.m. today (9th) through various music streaming sites and will kick off her solo debut activities with the title track 'body.'
