SBS 'Would You Merry Me' has confirmed its first broadcast and released a lovely and thrilling 'pink invitation' teaser poster.
The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Would You Merry Me' (directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyuk, written by Lee Ha-na) is a sweet and bitter 90-day fake honeymoon where two people attempt to win a luxury newlywed house as a prize, increasing anticipation for the work as trusted actor Choi Woo-shik and rom-com unwavering Jung So-min join forces to create romantic synergy.
In the meantime, a teaser poster containing the invite to 'Would You Merry Me,' which will first air on Friday, Oct. 10, at 9:50 p.m., has caught attention with its surprising reveal. The model house placed gently on two hands in the teaser poster and the phrase 'Would you marry me?' sparks curiosity.
Yumeri (played by Jung So-min), who won the luxury newlywed house prize, is depicted as proposing to her fake husband Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik) with a model house instead of a wedding ring, asking, 'Will you marry me?' This scene evokes the names Woo-joo and Yumeri, stirring expectations for the fake couple's romantic comedy. Additionally, the pink shadows cast by the sunset over the image of the house create excitement, while raising questions about the 'newlywed house,' which is not only the reason they must maintain their fake newlywed life for 90 days but also the main backdrop of their story.
The production team of 'Would You Merry Me' said, 'We romantically expressed the situation where Yumeri proposes to Woo-joo to protect the newlywed house she received as a prize and created the teaser poster with the concept of inviting viewers into their newlywed house.' They added, 'As the first successor of the country's first confectionery shop, Myeongsundang, and a perfect heir, Kim Woo-joo faces trials from broken engagements to newlywed house rental scams, and it will be interesting to see how Yumeri, a designer struggling for a living, becomes an ally. Please look forward to the thrilling and sweetly intense fake couple's romantic comedy, 'Would You Merry Me.'
