Former soccer player Park Joo-ho is continuing a meaningful course of action together with his Swiss wife, who is battling cancer.
On the 9th, Park Joo-ho posted on his social media, "Yesterday I participated with my family in the 11th Harmony Marathon with people with visual impairments," along with several photos.
He went on to explain, "At the invitation of the German Chamber of Commerce in Korea, it was a meaningful time to walk alongside people with visual impairments and directly feel the value of inclusion and solidarity. Through this event, I was once again able to feel the power and meaning of each step, and above all, I was deeply moved by the warm hearts and dedication of so many people."
Park Joo-ho also expressed gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank the German Chamber of Commerce in Korea and all the officials who invited us to participate in this meaningful event," and conveyed his appreciation for being able to take part in such a significant activity.
The photos Park Joo-ho shared showed his family participating in the event together. His wife Anna, along with their three children Na-eun, Geon-hu and Jin-woo, also attended. Wearing athletic clothes, Na-eun, Geon-hu and Jin-woo pinned on race bibs and smiled brightly for photos. Anna appeared healthier and was with the family. It was a more meaningful occasion because the whole family participated together.
Earlier, Park Joo-ho had announced that he and his family had taken part in their first marathon in April. He had shared a photo of himself with his wife Anna and their three children wearing marathon finisher medals. At that time, Anna surprised fans by showing a healthier appearance for the first time in a while.
Park Joo-ho and Anna revealed Na-eun, Geon-hu and Jin-woo's parenting process on KBS 2TV's variety show The Return of Superman, earning much love. By sharing the three children's growth and the birth of the youngest, Jin-woo, they received affection from online aunts and uncles, and Park Joo-ho won the grand prize at the KBS Entertainment Awards for the program.
Later, Anna revealed in November 2022 that she was battling cancer, adding to the sadness. However, she received positive treatment results and is currently reported to be under follow-up observation. Last month, Anna returned to the YouTube channel she had been running after two years and resumed sharing the family's daily life to communicate with fans.
Anna personally stated, "I am still in the process of recovering," and said, "I can live today thanks to all those who have devoted themselves to treating the illness and who continue to support me."
