CORTIS held a special meeting with fans to commemorate the release of their debut album.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Joo-hoon, Seong-hyun, Geon-ho) hosted the 'CORTIS The 1st EP [COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES] RELEASE PARTY' (hereinafter 'RELEASE PARTY') on the 8th at the Korea University Hwa-jeong Gymnasium in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. They performed the entire tracklist from their debut album during the event, which lasted about two hours.
'RELEASE PARTY' was broadcast online on the global superfan platform Weverse, the official YouTube channel of HYBE Labels, and the global short-form video platform TikTok. Fans from 190 countries/regions, including Korea, the United States, Japan, and Indonesia, joined the live stream in real-time on Weverse.
CORTIS opened the 'RELEASE PARTY' by premiering the stage for their follow-up track 'FaSHioN.' The five members captivated fans with their overflowing talent and vibrant energy. After performing 'GO!,' they expressed their excitement by saying, "It's our first solo concert since debut. Since it's a joyous day, we want to enjoy it together. Please enjoy it like a party."
As the title track 'What You Want' began, the excitement reached its peak. They boasted a grand scale by employing 31 treadmills compared to previous music broadcasts. The members moved freely between the main stage and the extended stage, and the audience responded with thunderous cheers and fan chants. They also captured the fans' hearts with a rich setlist that included the first performances of the tracks 'JoyRide' and 'Lullaby.' Their flawless live performance impressed everyone. Especially, responding to the fans' cheers, they unexpectedly performed encores and joyfully interacted with the audience, making the moment shine.
During the concert, the five members shared various stories from their trainee days and episodes related to album production. They also showcased the self-produced video for 'GO!', the skit for 'What You Want,' and the official music video for 'Lullaby,' demonstrating their attributes as a 'young creator crew' that collaboratively creates music, choreography, and visuals.
Towards the end of the event, CORTIS looked out at the audience and said, "It seems that we, the five members, have worked hard to see this beautiful picture. It is a blessing to be able to stand in such a place. I sincerely thank the fans. We have only been debuted for 3 weeks. I hope you will continue to be with us for the countless days ahead." and wiped away tears.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is a rookie group launched by Big Hit Music, a label of HYBE (Chairman Bang Si-hyuk), after six years. They will reveal a conceptual performance film focused on the choreography of the follow-up track 'FaSHioN' on the 9th at 6 p.m. They will start their activities for 'FaSHioN' beginning with Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 11th.
