Singer Lee Hyori (45) officially opened a yoga studio.
Lee Hyori announced through the official social media (SNS) of 'Ananda Yoga', which opened on the 8th in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, that "photos and videos cannot be taken before and during the practice. They can be freely taken after the practice is finished."
She continued, "However, it is difficult for me to take personal photos for everyone, so only group photos will be taken after the practice. The group photos can be downloaded from the Ananda website."
Earlier, she said, "The yoga studio first started operating in Jeju in 2016," adding, "I didn't expect to receive this much interest and attention just by moving the location to Seoul." She also noted, "Until the enthusiasm calms down, I will continue calmly so that neither I nor the participants become fatigued."
Lee Hyori conducted the first official class of 'Ananda Yoga' with a hatha yoga session at 8:30 a.m. that day. The one-day class, which started in September, sold out shortly after it was announced, proving to have high interest. The tuition fee is 35,000 won per session, and from October, it is scheduled to be expanded into a regular program.
The yoga studio explained that the opening was delayed by about a week due to issues with the reservation system during the preparation process. It plans to conduct regular classes after operating one-day classes for a month and addressing any issues.
Meanwhile, upon hearing the news of the opening, she received congratulatory wreaths from celebrities such as Yoo Jae-suk and Seo Jang-hoon. However, the yoga studio noted, "We politely decline any further gifts. It is important to keep the practice space empty," and expressed their gratitude.
Lee Hyori and her husband Lee Sang-soon moved to Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, last year after living in Jeju Island since their marriage in 2013. They are reported to have purchased a single-family home for about 6 billion won, including nearby land.
